Jobe has been surfing since he was nine on local beaches in the Bude area.

2009 saw him entering both the U14s and U16s divisions, his results from the 2009 KOTG comp meant he travelled to Zarautz, Spain in August to compete in the European KOTG finals, and on becoming British U14 Champ in September was selected to surf as an U16 in the British  Junior Team

travelling to New Zealand in January 2010 to compete in the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships. Following a very successful weeks training with the British Team in Hossegor in October he was chosen to Captain the U16s for the World Games in 2010.

2010 has been a very successful year for Jobe, he was the highest placed U16 in the Junior Worlds in New Zealand , English U18s Champion and winner of both the QKOTG and Rip Curl Grom Search British titles. He competed in 2 European Finals and ended the year as the top ranking U16 in the UK which led to him being picked once again to represent his country in the World Junior Surfing Championships in Peru in 2011.

So far in 2011 Jobe is unbeaten in the UK and again was the joint highest placed British member at the World Games finishing 22nd in the U16 division.
